Rachel Gagliardo
Rachel was a West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South graduate, where she was a four year varsity pitcher. In addition to pitching she also played first base. In her sophomore season she was named a member of the CVC Carpenter Cup team. After suffering an injury that took her out most of her junior season, Rachel fought her way back and in her senior year was named by the Princeton Packet Player of the Year. Throughout her high school career she learned the importance of being a good teammate and putting others before herself. Rachel’s coaching career kicked off when she was out with a broken hand, she called pitches during games and worked one on one with the pitcher.
After an extremely successful high school career Rachel went on to attend Rowan University where she studied English education and Special Education. Rachel was a member of the Rowan Softball team for 3 years. During her time playing collegiate ball she attended the Division III World Series and came in third place. Rachel was a scholar athlete and was awarded Academic All-American.
In addition, Rachel gives private pitching lessons in the summer.
Dave Soles
Dave has coached girls fast pitch softball since 1993 and has worked as a hitting clinician and instructor for some of the most successful fastpitch programs in the state of New Jersey and the country including the New Jersey Breakers Gold, New Jersey Breakers, New Jersey Nightmare Gold, West Jersey Witches, Central Jersey Lightning, East Windsor Thunder Travel Program, Four time State champion New Egypt High School, and some of the best young talent in New Jersey.
Dave has played or been a part of the sport for over 40 years. He played softball on Class A nationally ranked teams upon graduation from college in 1989 until 1998. He began his coaching career in 1993. Dave’s former team the New Jersey Breakers Gold was continually ranked in the top 10 in CPI (College Placement Index) and has been consistently ranked in the top 25 teams in the United States. His former team competed all over the country and qualified 8 consecutive years for the 18U Gold USA/ASA National Championship. The Breakers Gold has successfully placed 100% of its players at the collegiate level. Dave continues to provide hitting instruction to some of the best up and coming players and teams in the state.
Dave resides in New Egypt New Jersey and has three children with his wife Sandy.
